Before you donate

Donations to Jess are political donations under the Electoral Funding Act 2018 (NSW), and are paid into her campaign account.

  • Who can give: a person enrolled to vote in federal, NSW state or NSW local government elections; an organisation with an ABN, ACN or other business number recognised by ASIC; or a person or organisation approved by the NSW Electoral Commission.
  • How much: up to $4,100 per donor in 2026-27 (1 July to 30 June), counting all your donations to Jess together. The cap rises with inflation each financial year.
  • Who cannot give: property developers; tobacco, liquor and gambling industry businesses, including registered clubs involved in gambling; industry bodies made up mostly of these; and their close associates.
  • Your details: we need your name and enrolled address, and your confirmation that you can lawfully donate.
  • Disclosure: donations of $1,000 or more in a financial year, alone or added together, are reportable. Jess discloses them to the NSW Electoral Commission, which publishes them, and you must also lodge a disclosure with the Commission by 11 August after the financial year ends.
